The Story Behind My
Landscape Photography
Ellis Skelton is an award-winning 19-year-old photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty of the British landscape. Based in East Sussex, his work focuses on the changing seasons, dramatic skies, and the interplay of light across the natural environments he explores.
For Ellis, photography is more than simply taking images; It’s a way of connecting with the world around him and sharing moments that inspire people to pause and appreciate the landscapes around them.
His work has gained national recognition, winning awards in international competitions including Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year and UK Landscape Photographer of the Year. His photographs have also been exhibited across the UK, including at The Mall in London and in public exhibitions seen by thousands.
After completing studies in photography, media, and business in 2025, Ellis now works as a product specialist for one of the UK’s leading photographic retailers while continuing to develop his landscape photography and explore new locations with his Nikon Zf.
